Pop of Cheetah

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share a quick outfit of the day before I head out tonight. I'm going to a karaoke bar, hopefully it will be a good time! I have to do my makeup and pick out a new outfit after I finish this.

Top: Gap Jacket: JCP Pants: Kohl's Earrings/ring: Kohl's Shoes: Target

I was in the mood for pink this morning so I went with this pale pink beaded neckline top from the Gap. I wanted to pair it with a jean jacket (it is getting chilly here, yesterday it was in the 80s and now it is in the 50s), so I had to wear black pants to avoid the denim on denim. I picked up these heels from Target yesterday because they were on major sale- only nine bucks!

I kept my makeup very natural with a pop of color on my lips. I mixed up Estee Lauder's Rich & Rosy lipstick with Lancome's Juicy Tube lipgloss in Raspberry Ice over it. I received a ton of compliments on this color combo. I even had a few guys come up and tell me that it looked good which is rare because guys typically don't notice lip colors!

Anyways, hope all is well! I'm off to get ready for tonight and get in a bit more studying for a few tests that I have tomorrow.

An Explanation and an Outfit.

Hello my fabulous fashionistas.
I think I owe you guys an explanation for my disappearing act.
I've had a lot of personal stuff going on and I physically could not juggle blogging and my life at the same time. I normally do not get extremely personal on here, but I really have no shame in what I'm about to tell you all.

The guy I spent the better half of a year with decided to call it quits on me. I did not really get the memo that anything was wrong until it happened. Needless to say I was very surprised and upset. I literally did not wear any eyeshadow or lipstick for a week (GASP WHO AM I?)!
I'm not going to lie and say that I'm 100 % a-okay because I'm not. I'm human and sometimes we need a little bit more than a few days to heal. I have a really hard time trusting people and not building up walls to protect myself. This time my walls were down and I did get hurt. I'm feeling better about everything. I'm also back to my eyeshadow and lipstick ways; I just bought the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette.
I cannot say that I'm mad about the whole ordeal because that would be like saying I never truly cared about the relationship. I cared a lot. Sometimes you have to let your guard down and take a chance. And a lot of the time you realize that you are going to have to take many many many more risks. The greatest risk in life is showing someone who you are.

Anyways, enough about my lack of a love life.
Here's what I wore today.

Top: Loft Jeans: Kohl's Jacket: Jones New York Shoes: Nine West Earrings: Mom's
I've had this Loft bejeweled collar shirt for a few months and somehow it never appeared on here!
I adore this shirt because of the effortless chicness the collar has. I also like the soft cream color. I have a feeling that this top will look great against a tan in the spring.  I paired it with a cuffed jean and wide t-strap heels. The jacket was just a throw on because it was chilly.

I used the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette for the first time today and I really like it!
I have a feeling that the shade Naked 2 will be my new favorite. I wore a red berry colored lip that was a creation from a few different lip products.
Also, I got a haircut on Friday. Just 2 inches chopped off and some bangs (which are shorter than they are appearing here because they blended into the rest of my hair). I needed a change.

I'm off to go finish some school work- I have a few tests tomorrow. Gotta hit them books. #nerd.

Hope you're all well, I promise not to drop off the face of the earth again.
I will also have a review up for a fabulous Dorfman Pacific product later this week.

Loads of love.

Keeping it Casual

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share an outfit that I wore yesterday.

Also, I wanted to tell you that Evologie has an awesome sweepstakes going on, so click here for the EVOLOGIE SWEEPSTAKES! You can win a free 6 month supply of their Stay Clear System. Definitely check it out because their products are amazing!

Top: Coldwater Creek Pants: Kohl's Shoes: DSW Necklace and headband: Forever 21 Ring: Kohl's

I was in the mood to wear a simple outfit, but I wanted to wear the new statement necklace that I had picked up from F21 over break. I asked my mom if I could borrow this shirt because I love the subtle stripes. I also like that it's a 3 quarter sleeve, not too warm! I paired the shirt with the necklace and kept the purple jewelry theme going with my new purple ombre ring.

I kept my makeup very natural with concealer, powder, blush, bronzer, and mascara. I added MAC Speed Dial and a clear gloss over it for a pink lip. I did waves in my hair because I was tired of my stick straight hair!

Today I have to study for my psychology test and review for my physics quiz. Should not be too bad.
Thank the lord that it is almost Friday! I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend!

Shoes, Shows, and Such.

Helloooo fashionistas!
I have a little bit of an all over kind of post.

First, I wanted to share these super adorable flats that my mom bought me.

My mom went to Gap today and came home with a surprise pair of shoes for me! I love them. They are (of course) my favorite pattern. Also, they're in black and white which makes them super versatile.

School is back in full force and I have spent a lot of today doing homework.
Oh, I never shared a project that I just finished making with you guys. For those of you who don't know it, I've been taking pottery since my freshmen year. Last year I did it for a college credit (I passed) and I'm taking another college level ceramics class this year.

I still need to fire it and glaze it, but this is it so far. It is sitting inside my messy cabinet!

Is anyone else obsessed with Beverly Hills Houeswives? So much drama!
I watched the newest addition to Bravo's reality shows (which I looooove) and I have a feeling that I will be hooked on Vanderpump Rules. Lisa has always been my favorite character and I have a feeling that this show is going to be a hit

Are any of you addicted to Bravo's reality shows?

Hope you all are having a good week!

Favorite Fashions from 2012

Hello fabulous fashionistas!
I know I probably should have done this post p r i o r to 2013 being here, but whatever. I wanted to group together some of my favorite outfits featured on the blog. I'll link back to each post!

Starting in January from 2012- woah man that's like a... year ago. ( ;

As you all can see I have quite the affinity for polka dots, blazers, heels, and pops of colors.
Do you guys typically gravitate towards a certain types of colors, shoes, jackets?

Tomorrow is the first day back to school- I am not looking forward to that!
My boyfriend went back to school yesterday, boo. My best friend came down to visit family for 3 days and popped down to meet me for lunch yesterday, she's also back home. I miss my favorite people!

Loads of love!

Ring Bling!

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share a little bit of 'ring bling' with you all today.
For a part of my birthday present my mom took me to get acrylics on my nails. I don't know if you guys know this, but I had (have? Am I over it?) the worst nail biting habit. Sometimes I would be bored and gnawing at my nails or if I'm stressed it always exacerbates the nail biting. Anyways, now my nails look nice. I'm hoping that if I keep the acrylics on for a bit longer that I will kick my bad habit!

Anyways, onto my first ring bling!

My mom bought me this really lovely Drusy Quartz and sterling silver ring for my birthday. This ring is such a statement piece; it is a great pop of color. The setting really adds a touch of boho-chic to the ring. This ring is from Kohl's. My mom has been building up my nice jewelry collection and this piece will last a lifetime (same with my Tiffany & Co. necklace).

Here is my ring bling number 2!

The next ring I purchased was bought after Christmas. I was perusing the Kohl's jewelry counter and found this little purple ombre gem. This ring is sterling silver and  Swarovski crystals. This ring has 2 things that I love, purple and ombre. The ring starts off with a darker purple that fades into a pale purple and finally fades into a clear stone. This is also quite a blingy statement piece.

Do you guys have any bling-y pieces of jewelry? Are you guys fans of the ring bling? I definitely am!

I think I'm going to spend the day with my boyfriend because he heads back to college on Sunday (boo!).
Not looking forward to having to school starting up on Monday. Oh back to the grind. The one good thing is the fact that all of our midterms were done pre winter break.

Anyways, loads of love!

NYE Ensemble

Hello fashionistas! Happy 2013, I hope this year is fabulous for you all and that you let 2012 go with a bang!
I wanted to share my NYE outfit with you all. I went out with my boyfriend to get dessert and watch the fireworks.

Ugh, sorry for the grainy picture quality!

Top: New York and Company Tank-top: Aeropostale Jeans and heels: JCP Earrings: Forever 21 Ring: Kohl's (birthday present) Clutch: Susan Faber

I went shopping that afternoon and picked up this top at NY&Co. I love the polka dots and drape-y feel that this shirt has. I paired it with my new favorite jeans that I found in the back of my closet, they are the perfect length for heels. I accessorized with pops of color. This is the clutch that I won in a giveaway a few years ago, it's real leather and is super luxe! I love this clutch and use it for special occasions- I figured a new year starting was a special occasion. I contrasted with my blue suede heels.

I curled my hair because I had tossed it up in a messy bun to run errands and felt like giving it some curl.
I did a little bit of darker eye than I did in my last post. I also got rid of the lower lash line makeup and I put blue eyeshadow on my upper lash line. I also went with a neutral lip color.

Here are a few pictures of my boyfriend and I. I'm so glad I got to say deuces to 2012 with my favorite boy.

How did you guys say goodbye to 2012?
Hope you are all well!
