Exciting Life Update!

Hello fashionistas!
I have a life update to share with you all!
On Monday I got my license! I'm street legal to drive, very exciting. For my very first drive I drove to Dunkin' Donuts to get coffee and then I went over and surprised my boyfriend with my license.
Also, in case you guys were wondering, I'm not getting a car right away! My parents are just letting me use their cars if they don't need them, which I really appreciate.

Today I told my sister that I would drive her anywhere, so we decided to go to Target.
That's us above in the car about to leave. After Target we went to Sonic for slushies.
Then I drove us to go bowling with my boyfriend and his little brother.

At Target my sister and I found this dress on sale for only $8. It fit both of us, so we decided we'd share it. I can't wait to pair this with a blazer and wedges..

Okay, before I leave I wanted to share this hilarious Sh!t Fashion Girls Say video. Love it.

What's new with you guys?
Have a fabulous day!

Teen Choice Awards, What They Wore.

Hello fashionistas!
I did a Teen Choice Awards fashion post about 2 years ago and it still is my most popular post ever. So, I decided I would do another one for this years' Teen Choice Awards.

Here are a few of my favorite looks.

Pretty Little Liars star, Lucy Hale, looked summertime fantastic in this orange number. The structured top flows really well with the full skirt of the dress. I love her stacked gold heels and her side braid gives off a cute young vibe.

Selena Gomez has gone from a teeny-bopper to an overnight fashionista. She looked stunning in this bubblegum mini dress. The pleats keep the skirt young and fun. Her legs look never ending and her shoes really tie the whole look together.

I love how fellow Pretty Little Liars star, Ashley Benson, opted for cropped black pants with a lace corset. She looks great and I like that she didn't just go for another dress. I'm in love with her shoes, pointy toed heels are the epitome of chic! Her hair style keeps her outfit looking young and edgy.  I would've liked this even more if she'd thrown on a bright turquoise or pink bracelet.

Victoria Justice looks fierce in this animal print high-low dress. I like that she went for a nude colored heel because a darker heel would've looked too stiff. Her makeup and hair are perfect for this, sleek and simple.

These are just a few of my favorites!
What do you guys think?

Accessorized.

Hello fashionistas!
Today I went and did a little impromptu fashion shoot with my boyfriend at this church in Saint Augustine (okay, the bridge that's in the park of the church). I felt the need to switch up my normal outfit of the days and go somewhere with pretty scenery. I wanted to show you how I would style this basic dress for a nighttime look with accessories.
Also, yes, I'm aware that these photos were shot in the afternoon, not evening!

Dress and earrings: Kohl's Scarf: The Clothing Store Heels: JCP Bracelet: Belk

The inspiration behind this outfit was making this scarf work for an outfit that would be a nighttime date look. I just wanted to dress up this simple cotton dress, one of my favorite dresses, and give it a little sass. I had to wear this scarf because ever since my mom brought it back for me (so nice of her!) I have been obsessed with it. I played with different hues of blue by using my bright cobalt heels, taking the dress and scarf from casual daytime to sassy evening. I accessorized with my chain knotted stud earrings and my classic silver bracelet that my Nana got me for Christmas.

To keep the look even more 'nighttime-esque I did a smoky bronze eye with a pop of blue eyeliner. I kept the rest of my face bronzed and simple. I swept my hair into a low messy bun for a little bit of understated glamour. On my lips is ELF's Cherry Bomb lipgloss. I'm completely obsessed with this and it's only $1.

I plan on showing you guys how I would style this scarf and dress combination for a daytime look. I love incorporating core elements of a look and accessorizing in different ways to create a whole new ensemble.
Do you guys do that?

Hope you all enjoyed!

PS: Just wanted to give my boyfriend major thanks/props for being my fashion photographer! You're the best! I appreciate the way you put up with my fashion and beauty brain and just thanks for everything.

I've Given Into Social Media Pressure.. Plus More!

Okay, the title sounds more serious than this post is!

I just wanted to tell you fashionistas that I have f i n a l l y gotten around to making a Facebook page for my site! I would really love (like.. yes, pun intended) if you all would 'like' my page. Click here to see the page.

I also have a Pinterest account, so you guys can follow me on there by clicking here. I'm literally a pinning addict.

You can also tweet me at glamgirl2014 on Twitter. I love talking with all of you on there!

Last but not least, you can contact me via email at glamorousgirl2014@gmail.com
When I receive emails from you all it makes my day!

On a random note, I got this shirt while I was at JCP the other day.

I decided that i like the tie underneath the bust more than on the hips, it defines my waist a lot more!
It was only $10. Super inexpensive and it comes in a pink color and darker blue. You can find it here

Oh, last thing, is anyone else super excited for season 10 of Project Runway?

I've missed Michael Kors' sassy quips, Heidi's fabulous style, and hearing Tim say "make it work!"
Okay, I'm off to go watch, are any of you?

Coral and Blue.

Hello fashionistas!
As promised I have an outfit of the day to share with you all. I coerced the boyfriend into taking outfit pictures for me, hehe.  I wore this today to hit the mall. My boyfriend's brother's birthday is on Saturday and my sister's birthday is Sunday, so we had to do some present shopping!

Tank-top and shorts: Kohl's Blazer and earrings: New York and Company Shoes: Aerosoles

I just wanted a simple summer-y outfit to throw on for a morning of shopping. I love bright colors and white during the summer because it makes me look tanner. I accessorized with large geometric earrings.  I really like this tank-top (and I've had it forever) because of the blue beads on the neckline. Overall this was a really laid-back look.

For my makeup the only special thing I did was put Urban Decay's Haight eyeshadow along my upper lash-line and winged it out. I went with a bright lip color, Rimmel London's Kate Moss line in shade 12. Blues and corals are colors that automatically remind me of summer, the beach, and the sunset.

After shopping my boyfriend and I went to the beach with his brother. Quite a fun day! Currently at my house with my boyfriend, sister, and his brother. I think we're all about to head out to get some dinner.

Thanks for following and commenting!
Loads of love!

Currently Up To.

Hello fashionistas!
I've been super busy lately and I haven't had time to snap photos for a proper outfit of the day! I'm so sorry!
I attempted to snap pictures of what I wore out to dinner with my boyfriend and my sister, but I just didn't like the way that the full length shots looked. Anyways, I thought I'd share a few pictures of what I've been currently up to for the past week.

My boyfriend, Toby, and I. This was from dinner tonight. We went to my favorite local seafood restaurant, Harry's, they're actually more New Orleans influenced. Super tasty! I'm in complete love with this scarf that my mom brought me back from Michigan. We had gone shopping in Charlevoix and I resisted the urge to purchase it, but my mom knew how badly I wanted it! Thanks mom!

Toby and I at the beach over the weekend.

My friend Katie and I slaved in the kitchen and whipped up a tasty meal for my dad late last week. We made double crunch honey garlic chicken. Seriously, this is the best chicken recipe e v e r, go click the link! My dad loved it and I'm making it for my family tomorrow.

Katie and I also made a Hershey's "Perfectly Chocolate" cake and frosting from scratch. Super easy and delicious.

Okay, I'm off to go to bed. Really sleepy, I spent all afternoon hanging out in the sun on the beach and I'm so sleepy! I promise a proper outfit of the day post will be the next thing I blog about.

What have you all been up to?

Vacation Pictures

Hello fashionistas!
I promised a few days ago that I would post some of my vacation photos for you all to see, so here they are.
We went to Michigan for over 2 weeks and rented a cottage on a beautiful spring-fed lake. My best friend came up for the first week.

Lily and I just hanging out at the lake.

We took a ferry over to Mackinac Island. Super fun!

My dad and I at lunch on Mackinac.

Lily and I got to rent a tandem bike (our dream) and we biked the 8 miles around the island. It was a beautiful ride. We basically split up from my family for the entire day!

No cars are allowed on the island, there are literally thousands of bikes!

My dad and Lily.

My dog Colby.

Lily and my sister on the ferry ride back to Mackinac.
Both rocking newly purchased Mackinac swag.. (:

The Grand Hotel, it's extremely fancy. You literally are not allowed to walk past it unless you're dressed up.

We asked the captain of the boat if he'd let us get a picture in the boat!

Mom, Colby, and I.

This giant swan statue has been in the town we stay at for ages, so we had to climb up and get a picture with it!

Colby spent HOURS floating in inner tubes. We're pretty much convinced that he's a human.. Well, he's positive about it.

Yep, another human shot of the dog, wearing a life jacket. Seriously, how cute is he? The cutest.

Mom and I went to Charlevoix one morning.

Mom and daughter selfies. I love her!

In Charlevoix there are these really cool 'mushroom' houses, designed by Earl Young. There are a bunch of them, they're incredible.

Overall the trip was fantastic. I love spending time with my family away from all the distractions of day to day life. I especially loved having my best friend there, thanks mom and dad!

Have you guys gone on any summer trips?
