Vibrant Purple Punch.

Hello fashionistas!
Another outfit of the day to share with you all. I wore this to school yesterday.
My mom bought this top as a Christmas present and I just wore it for the first time (I was saving it)!
Do you guys save things to wear? I like to slowly integrate new pieces. I don't like to wear it all at once.
My mom is constantly like "You have infinity pieces that you have yet to wear and they still have all the tags on!" This is not true,  I have maybe 3-5 items that have yet to be worn in my closet.

Top: gift, but I'm pretty sure it was from Marshalls Blazer: New York and Company Capris: Kohl's Shoes: Belk Earrings: F21 Lipstick: Revlon Colorburst lipstick in 030 Fuschia

My favorite thing about this top is the neckline. I like the way to elegantly curves on my shoulders. I also like how it's banded at the bottom, but is flow-y above it. The material is made to appear slightly wrinkled, which I think works with the vibrant purple color. I like the contrast between the perfectly bright white blazer with the gemlike color of the top. I paired it with my favorite capris (seriously, these are the best pair of pants ever). Can I get them in cobalt blue? That would make my day if Dockers made them in that color!
I had tried it on with my pencil skirt, but I decided that the pants were better.
Went for my pointed toe kitten heels to complete the look.

Close up of the neckline.

Hair and makeup was super, super simple. For hair all I did was pull back majority of my hair, slightly push it upwards, and clip it. Then I used a mini straightener to curl my bangs and a few tendrils around my face.
The main component of my makeup was my Revlon Fuschia lipstick! I  honestly don't know how I survived prior to owning this lipstick. It's a wham-bam punch of color that makes you look put together instantly.
All I had on my eyes was mascara. Very easy!

Today is the start of my spring break, wooo-hooo!
Sadly I have to start it off in a MRI machine, but that shouldn't be for too long.

Have a fabulous Friday, will post later this weekend!

PS: On a random note, I'm totally obsessed with this song I heard on One Tree Hill. It's called "Everything is Brilliant" by Rosi Golan.

Shirtdress Safari

Hello fashionistas!
Today I busted out a new dress that I bought a few weekends ago. It was one of those mornings where everything I went to wear was problematic!
At first I was going to wear jeans and my galaxy diy shirt, then I changed jeans to my favorite pencil skirt. Decided to wear that another day. So I headed to closet and looked through my dresses, finally deciding on a cream one. I went to iron it and found a small (most probably lipstick) stain on it! I headed back to my closet and selected a blue polka dot dress only to find that there was a small snag in the hem. I couldn't win. So, I grabbed the new shirtdress and slipped it on. Do any of you ever have those days when your clothing simply refuses to work with you?

Dress and belt: Kohl's Shoes: Aerosoles Tank-top: F21 Bracelet: local store Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

I decided that I needed to add a little print to this, hence the sassy cheetah belt! Just a little safari with my shirtdress. I had to add this silver twist bracelet for a bit of sparkle.
My only problem with this dress was that it wrinkled so easily! I literally had just ironed it before I put it on to take pictures and yet I already had wrinkles when it was photographed!

When I saw this dress I instantly knew that I had to have it. It reminds me of the dress that Kate Hudson wore in the movie Something Borrowed and I absolutely loved how she looked. It was simple and chic. The fact that I was able to find a shirtdress similar to hers' made me so happy! Here's the outfit that I fell in love with!

I can't wait for tomorrow to be over because it will be the start of spring break! My mom rescheduled my MRI for Friday and I'm not going into school afterwards.
I'm off to go study for my history test that I have tomorrow.

Bejeweled Baby

Hello fashionistas!
Another outfit of the day to share with you guys.
I wore this sometime last week, I don't remember the exact day.

Blazer and jeans: Kohl's Top: Forever 21 (bought like 2 years ago) Shoes: Target

I love this tank-top, my only gripe with is its length. It's too long to be a shirt, yet too short to be a dress. To keep it a shirt I try to fold the hem under and make myself appear longer with heels. The flare jeans just worked with it all. Normally I would have tossed a black blazer on, but I wanted to add some color to the look, hence the rust.
I opted for no jewelry because of the bejeweled neckline. So sparkly!

Makeup was minimal because I didn't feel like getting all dolled up. For eye makeup all I used was Urban Decay's YDK eyeshadow as a top liner and loads of mascara. Very simple.

This week is going to be unbearable. I hate the week before any breaks, especially spring break!
I'm ready to r-e-l-a-x.
Oh, wanted to tell you guys that I started reading Something Blue by Emily Giffin! So far so good.

Loads of love!

Ins and Outs #11

Hello fashionistas!
This weekend has turned out to be nothing like I thought it was going to be.
I was expecting a glorious, sunny 3 day weekend and what I got was a not so glorious, overcast/rainy weekend. On Friday I was supposed to have a MRI of my neck and the imaging center called to tell me that the machines were down and I had to reschedule for this upcoming Friday. New guy was supposed to come into town on Friday, but at the last minute plans changed. Le sigh.
Anyways, enough of this story, I wanted to do another ins and outs posts! They're actually one of my favorite posts to do.

INS

1.) I'm in absolute love with Emily Giffin books. I had seen the movie for Something Borrowed , but had never read the book. I loved the movie and my two best friends read the book and told me it was great. I already liked Giffin's writing style, so I decided to read it. I basically devoured the book in two days! I couldn't put it down and I'm now dying to read Something Blue. Seriously, go check out her books!

via

2.) The other day I purchased Gavin Degraw's CD titled Sweeter. I have been jamming to it pretty much nonstop. My favorite songs are "Not Over You", "Radiation", "Soldier", and "Sweeter." They're all very catchy.

via

3.) Another thing I'm into is braiding my hair! I've been obsessed with braiding it and putting it up in a little ponytail. Here's the link for instructions on how to achieve this!

4.) Spring and summer always makes me crave bright colors. To fulfill this desire, I've been playing with bright eyeshadows as eyeliners. Just enough of a pop to make me happy. Here's a picture of what I've been doing! Products I used can be found at the same link as my hair instructions!

OUTS

1.) As you all know I'm a wee bit of a planner and this weekend has made me realize that I cannot control everything and everyone. My plans changed against my will. Was I bummed? Yeah, I was, but this has made me rethink my constant planning and controlling. I think I need to just go with the flow a little bit more. It would definitely make for a less stressed Savannah! Maybe I'll even leave it up to other people to do the planning.

2.) The third nine weeks of school is gone! This year is flying right past me. Sometimes I can't even believe that we only have 9 more weeks of school until summer! Not that I'm complaining.

That's about all I have for this volume of ins and outs.

I'm off to go get ready to go out with my Dad and sister. We decided to go out to our favorite cafe and then go ice skating. Let's hope none of us bust our booties!
Have a great weekend!

Braids, Blue Heels, and Blazers.

Hello fashionistas!
I wore this getup to school on Wednesday.

Top and shoes: JCP Capris, blazer, and tanktop: Kohl's Watch: Avenues

I'm in absolute love with these capris. They're comfortable, a dark wash, and a hit me at a good spot.
Holy grail of capris? I think yes!
I decided that I had to wear this white tank-top to enhance my tan. Whenever I get a tan I feel the need to draw attention the it! Didn't want to be too obnoxious with bright white, so I balanced it out with my favorite blazer. Rocked the sassy blue heels and a simple white watch.

I did my hair the exact same way I did in my last post. Check out the directions here!

Today was the last day of the 3rd quarter, this year is flying by. I finished making a vase for pottery, right on track for the number of projects we're supposed to have for AP. I need to crop all of my photos to upload for that. Stressful! Oh, meant to tell you guys, I ended up with an A in chemistry. Best thing ever!

Tomorrow we don't have school. I have to go get an MRI of my neck in the morning. Hope it goes well.
New guy is coming into town this weekend, pretty happy about that.

Have a grand Friday! I will post later this weekend!

Outfit and Makeup of the Yesterday.

Hello fashionistas!
Over the weekend I tanned so much that I got a bit burnt.
My legs never tan so I neglected to SPF them up and well never say never because my legs got burnt. #Painful. Anyways, I couldn't put pants on my legs (hello double the pain) so I went for this super soft dress.
I wore this little get-up to school on Monday.

Dress: ? Borrowed it from my mom Blazer: New York and Co. Shoes: Aerosoles Tank-top, headband, and earrings: Forever 21

This dress is insanely comfortable. I like that it can be dressed down by wearing it over a bathing suit and dressed up with a blazer. I think the ability to be transformed into multiple outfits makes a piece of clothing a good buy. Next time I'm going to belt this because it is sort of big on me.

With my new tan I was in the mood for a beachy hair-do. The first thing I did was spritz my  hair down with hairspray for a bit of texture. Then I took my bangs and braided them back in different sized braids, tied with clear elastics. I decided to do more braids throughout my hair and just made them in different sizes because I wanted it to look casual. Afterwards I put some pomade throughout my hair for more texture, slipped my hair into its mini ponytail, and finally added my sassy cheetah headband.
I feel like I achieved the beach-y hair that I wanted!

I woke up and decided that I needed to do a pop of color with my makeup.
I'm all about pops of color (in case you all haven't already noticed)!
Try out these beauty coupons and save on pop of colors of your own
Here are all the products I used on my eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin
Urban Decay Spotlight all over
Urban Decay Naked in my crease and in my brows
Urban Decay Haight as liner
Urban Decay Skimp as highlight
Covergirl Lashblast mascara

I got my english essay back and I got a 100%. Super exciting, mostly because she doesn't normally give out hundreds. That's about the only highlight of today. The rest of the day was mediocre.
I seriously feel like this week has been dragging by. It's only Tuesday! All I want is it to be Friday.

Colorful Girl Ruling the World

Hello fashionistas!
It's Sunday, aka that dreadful day before Monday. The day where you have a million things to do and all you want to do is relax. I just finished studying for the two tests I have tomorrow, so I decided to knock out a quick blog post.

I wore this outfit to school on Friday. I'd been dying to wear this dress since I bought, so I decided that Friday was going to be the day to wear it!

Dress: Kohl's Shoes: Aerosoles Jacket: JCP Bracelet: Local Store Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

I've been wearing this bracelet and this jacket a lot.. I told you when Lily found it in her room (after three months of us being separated, seriously a heartbreaking 3 months sans the jacket) I knew I'd be pairing it with many spring dresses! You all just have to tolerate it.
I went with simple wedges to pair with the dress so I didn't overpower the vibrant colors.
The colors of the dress are like a kaleidoscope of gorgeousness!

After I curled my hair I decided to go ahead and take eye makeup pictures. I decided that I liked this photo of my face better than the close ups my mom took when I was actually in the dress. Still rockin' those jammies in this pictures, good thing you all can't tell!

I decided on a gilver (gold-silver) and blue look. I didn't want the blue to be like "BAM BLUE" so I toned it down. I was really happy that my camera decided to cooperate with me when I went to take these.

Products used
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin
Stila Kitten all over
Stila Stone all over Kitten
Stila Smog in the outer corner
Stila Kitten went back over Stone to create the gilver
Urban Decay Skimp as the highlight
Urban Decay Naked for my brows
Urban Decay Whisky on my upper lash line, lower lash line, and to tightline
Cover Girl Lashblast mascara

These beauty coupons might come in handy for savings of your own on beauty and fashion purchases!

This morning I woke up and I watched No Strings Attached and it was such a cute movie. If you haven't seen it and love romantic comedies (or rom-coms as I call them) you should definitely watch it. It's on Netflix for instant play.

Okay, I'm off to go soak up some sun. Not looking forward to tomorrow and my chemistry and french tests.
Wish me luck, I have to get a B on the chemistry test...

Enjoy your Sundays!

Classy Layers

Hello fashionistas!
I wore this little getup to school on Tuesday.

Button up: Liz Clairborne Tanktop: American Eagle Blazer: Kohl's Jeans: JCP Shoes: Belk Bag: Jessica Simpson Bracelet: Local store

I decided that I wanted to layer this button up because I love this shade of blue! I decided that the button up plus the blazer made a classy ensemble! I wanted to contrast between the solid colors with the sequins. Just a little bit of sparkle and shine!  Sorry for my bag just being there, I just set it down. Mom was like "that looks dumb!" I topped this outfit off with my black kitten heels.

For my makeup I just did a soft purple eye with the Too Faced palette (love it)! Curled my hair, again. Obviously I have an addiction. I left my ends sort of straight. This has quickly become my new everyday hair and makeup routine.

Having a fabulous Friday with the best friend. Sleepover fun and then tomorrow we're going shopping.
Saturday is my mom's birthday, I think we're going out to the Cheesecake Factory.

Anyways have a grand weekend, will update soon!

Loads of love!

Nearly Nautical

Hello fashionistas!
I told you all how I wore this outfit to the beach with new guy and I didn't get any outfit pictures, so I decided that I would be a cheater, cheater outfit repeater and wear it today.
Mainly because I wasn't functioning enough to be able to pick out an outfit!
I definitely had more fun wearing this outfit the first time around. It was perfect for a picnic on the beach.
At school it was just an outfit. Le sigh.

Top & bracelet: New York and Company Capris, shoes, & earrings: Kohl's

I'm in love with this sweater, it's so comfortable and flow-y. With dark wash capris and a pop of color in my flats I felt like chic sailor. Okay, well maybe I was nearly nautical.
Or maybe I associate blue and white stripes with sailors, whatever.
To keep with the stripes theme I added the new bracelet from NY & Co, plus my cool knotted earrings (which also remind me of sailors, knots = anchors).

I would have curled my hair had I not hauled my booty out of bed at 7:45. Too late to curl, so I went with the natural straightness. I attempted to capture my eye makeup to put on here, but my camera wasn't cooperating. I'm going to do the same look again and try to get it to photograph correctly.
My lipstick is Revlon Pink Velvet with their Lilac Pastel lipgloss layered over it.

Yesterday I took a math test and aced it, 100%.
I was extremely excited because I had neglected to study for it. Oopsies.
After school I came home and soaked up some sun. It was a gorgeous day. Then I came in and did homework/study guides.

I'm about to go lay outside again for an hour or so. Then hitting Target to get a few things for the Mom's birthday.

Have a fabulous day!

Dotted Up

 Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share what I wore to school today with you all.

Top: Belk Tank-top: Forever 21 Jeans: JCP Shoes: Kohl's Earrings: New York and Company (featured in last post)  Lipstick: MAC Speed Dial

This top is such an easy, classy piece to throw on and call it a day! I wasn't in the mood to stress over what I was going to wear, so I ended up in this. I adore polka dots so much. They're fun and flirty. What's not to love? I want to find a million shirts with polka dots on them and buy them all! I slipped on my new bling-y wedges and I was ready to rock and roll (or get in the car and go to school, but really it's the same thing)!

Hello big hair. I'm loving curling my hair. Romantic and voluminous curls are my favorite, especially when they inevitably fall into loose waves. I just can't get enough! I decided that I should curl my hair a lot before the 90% humidity starts hitting Florida for spring/summer. Stupid Florida, always screwing with my hair styles!

Currently watching the season finale of the Bachelor. If Courtney wins I will be so annoyed!
Also, Ben's hair irritates me. Why must he have a goofy middle part?!

Tomorrow I have a Shakespeare test in english and a math test.
I'm ready for the weekend.. Seriously, how many more days?

PS: Karen over at Makeup and Beauty Blog swatched Too Faced's summer collection and I'm CONVINCED that I need the Summer Eye Summertime Sexy Shadow Collection.

Shopping, Shopping, and More Shopping!

Hello fashionistas!
This weekend has been such a blast. On Saturday my mom and I went out for manicures and pedicures, love mother-daughter pampering! Then we went and hit the mall. After shopping Lily came over and we had some best friend bonding time. We watched 27 Dresses, I love that movie!
I went out with new guy again today and after that I came home and watched some movies with my mom.

Anyways, here's what I bought.

Simply Vera Vera Wang wedges from Kohl's.
I am in serious love with these shoes. Glamorous, edgy, and a sexy wedge.
The blisters I got on Friday were totally worth it.

Blue and silver bangle from New York and Company and the knot earrings are from Kohl's.

I've had these same wedges in brown and silver and I adored them. They're comfortable and cute. I had to have a basic pair of black wedges, can't rock the edgy bling pair all of the time.

Next is this soft, nautical-eque, trapeze sweater from New York and Company. When I was out shopping on Saturday I saw this, tried it on, and knew I had to have it for today! I wore it today when I went out with new guy. I sadly didn't snap any outfit pictures. Guess I'll have to be a cheater, cheater outfit repeater sometime this week!

Last but not least, Mom and I hit Bath and Body Works. I always love having a Warm Vanilla Sugar on hand and the Coconut Lime Breeze smells fresh and delicious. It's paradise in a bottle.

Always check online here for the items you are looking for and probably save some money!

I'm totally not looking forward to Monday. I'm also so annoyed that we had to jump an hour ahead.
My beauty sleep will suffer!

Loads of love!

Cloud Nine

Hello fashionistas!
First off I want to apologize for not keeping up with my every other day posting. I blame this guy I met and who's been taking up a good bit of my time. I'm on cloud nine right now, but I don't want to divulge too much too soon. So I'm just going to leave it at that!

I wanted to show you all what I wore to school on Friday.

Dress & Shoes: Kohl's Belt: Mom's Jacket: JCP Bracelet: Vintage Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

The weather was warmer so I decided that it was a dress day. I was craving that girly look that I usually gravitate towards. I'm so glad Lily found my jean blazer in time for spring. It's the best thing to pair with dresses. You'll probably have to see this a lot in the upcoming season..  Also, these flats are seriously so comfortable and cute. Still super glad my mom bought them for me.

I've become lazy with my makeup for the past few days. I've just done my normal face makeup, loads of mascara, tight lining and just inner rim lining my eyes with Urban Decay's 24/7 Liner in Whiskey. It really brings out the blue in my eyes and takes approximately a minute.  C'mon, it doesn't get much better than that!

Also, curling the hair and leaving the ends slightly straight is back on my obsessed radar again.
Can you guys believe I haven't had to get a trim since winter break? That's cray-cray, this haircut is the haircut that just keeps on giving! Although I'm thinking I need to make an appointment to get my bangs trimmed.

Today the best friend is coming over to catch up. I feel like I haven't seen her in forever!
Probably will end up in a sleepover because it always does.
Sunday will be spent with the new guy. Though I'll attempt to post on here because the last thing I want to do is neglect my blogginis!

Love you guys so much!

Light Pattern Mixing

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share what I wore yesterday with you all.
The weather was chilly in the morning, so I decided to wear the scarf that my mom got me for Christmas.

Top: Vintage Blazer: Kohl's Jeans: Belk Scarf: Old Navy Shoes: Target Earring: Forever 21 Bracelets: Local Store

I decided that a little light pattern mixing needed to happen. Which is where the striped shirt came into play.
I don't know why I hadn't worn the scarf before because I absolutely love it!

Oh, before I forget, I wanted to share this video with you guys! It's another Sh!t Fashion Girls Say based on New York Fashion Week. Part one and two. Love it.
Too funny!

I've got to dash and finish getting ready for school.
Loads of love!
