Trendy Tweed

Hello fashionistas!
The weather has finally cooled down here and I cannot be happier!
I got to wear this jacket that I (well my mom) bought for me last spring when it was on sale at Coldwater Creek. I wore this to school on Tuesday.

Top: American Eagle Jacket: Coldwater Creek Jeans: JcPenny Shoes: Ninewest Earrings and bracelet: Forever 21

I decided that this artsy, tweed, colorful jacket needed a black background, hence the black shirt, flower earrings, bracelet, and heels! I thought the chain link bracelet contrasted with the ladylike softness of the jacket.

For my makeup I went with a daytime smoky eye and my natural lip color. Sorry for not having any close up pictures of my face, my camera was not cooperating with my mom that morning.

Today I had my High Q districts match. Our junior varsity team won one match and lost the second one. My best friend, Lily, was on fire! I played varsity (and was the captain) we sadly lost by one question and a bonus, so close! I'll post outfit pictures from that sometimes this week!

Tomorrow I have a French test, history test on imperialism, and a math quiz. Not looking forward to all the studying I have to do tonight!

Tomorrow marks one week until my birthday and the start of December!

Have a great day!

Wish List 2011

Hello fashionistas!
I was in a mad rush to get out the door this morning, I was running extremely late (yet managed to make it to school on time) so I didn't get to take any outfit pictures.
I decided I would do a little wish list post for my birthday/Christmas.

Very Hollywood by Michael Kors. Not only do I love love love the packaging, but it smells fantastic too!

Lauren Conrad blazer at Kohls, I've been wanting a pink blazer for awhile, and I adore this one!

I also like this other Lauren Conrad jacket at Kohls.

I'm a huge fan of Victoria's Secret PINK Boyfriend sweatpants. I want these ones in black! So cute.

MAC's Woodwinked eyeshadow, such a beautiful, versatile color!

I've wanted Nars' Orgasm blush for FOREVER. My mom has it and it is such a great blush! Truly one of a kind and possibly the most talked about blush in makeup community!

Urban Decay's Mariposa palette is gorgeous! This would be a lovely little addition to my collection.

I've been wanting to pick this up for awhile! You can find it here.

I've been wanting a monogram necklace for quite some time! I would want it to be S to the left, C in the middle, and P at the right. It's so perfect!

The other specialized necklace I've been wanting for years now is just a classic name necklace, a la Carrie Bradshaw (love Sex and the City)! Obviously I would want it to say Savannah.

Other things not mentioned here that I'm personally on the hunt for are "pizza toe" black pumps or kitten heels, a new wallet, and a red blazer. These are just things that I'm going to have yet to find the perfect one that I want!

What's on your wish list this year? Any of the same things as me?

Have a great week!

Ins and Outs #8

Hello beautiful dolls!
Due to the fact that I've been sick I have not had any outfits worth picturing.
Instead of just not posting for a few days, I thought I would do an ins and outs post.
I have not done one in a month, so it's due time!

INS

1.) Berry lips! Okay, so maybe not literally berries in my mouth lip pictures, but this picture pretty much described what I meant. I wish I was daring enough to buy a true purple berry lip color, I'm leaning more towards "cranBERRY" lips. Still berry-esque. I think winter just makes me want to wear more bold lip colors.

2.) One Tree Hill. I started watching it a couple of months ago on Netflix, I quickly became hooked. I love the show and I love the cast -hello, hottie Chad Michael Murray! I'm glad I didn't watch it when it was live, possibly because I was only 8 when it first started, but more because I could not have waited each week for a new episode. I'm addicted. If you haven't watched it then I highly suggest you should. Once I'm done with this I'm going to have to find another series to watch on Netflix. Watching an episode or two before I go to sleep is so relaxing.

3.) This next in is a bit strange, but I figured I'd throw it on in here. International Delight's Almond Joy creamer. It's the most delicious coffee creamer ever! A bit of sweet with smidgen of coconut. I HIGHLY suggest you all try it!

4.) I'm enjoying doing do it yourself projects. Or at least coming up with ideas for DIY projects! After making my galaxy shirts (I made a few), I've been looking for more unique projects to tackle. The next one I want to do is make a fabric braided necklace or bracelet. I'm thinking about doing it this weekend.

5.) My 16th birthday is almost here! 12 days and counting until I'm "sweet sixteen", although I won't be getting a car. Nor will I be getting my license until at least June. I slacked off for six months on getting my permit. I knew I wasn't getting a car for the big one six, so I wasn't all that motivated to get it last year!
My dad and I are going to take a daddy daughter trip come spring break to NYC for my birthday, exciting!

via
Also, how cute is this makeup cake? Adorable!

OUTS

1.) I'm hating the weather in Florida. While everyone else is experiencing the fall/winter I'm experiencing 80 degrees. To keep me happy the weather will 'plummet' down into the 50s for a few days and I start to get that happy winter feel. That feeling doesn't last long because it then shoots back up to the 70s. What the heck Florida, please just stay cool for a little while. I beg you.

2.) Being sick! This is truly an out because my antibiotics are starting to kick in and I'm on the mend.

That's about all I have to say my beauties!
Lots of love and have a happy weekend!

Preppy Princess

Hello my fabulous fashionistas!
Sorry for not posting the past few days, I've been busy and sick. Busy + sick = the worst combination ever (and a sleepy Savannah)!

I wore this outfit to school on Monday and thought I'd share it with you all.

I was feeling preppy, so I paired this mock layered sweater with my camel blazer and pencil skirt. For a little sass I added my black chunky heels. It needed a bit of sparkle, hence the hair clip.

Top: Kohls Blazer and Shoes: Target Pencil skirt: Coldwater Creek Ring: mom's Earrings: Forever 21

Today was the start of my Thanksgiving break. I spent majority of it on the couch because when I woke up I knew my cold had made the transition into a sinus infection. After my dad got home from work he took me to the CVS Minute Clinic; my doctor was out of town. Like I  had suspected it was another sinus infection! After that we went to the mall. My dad bought another pair of Cole Haan shoes and I bought some self tanner and lotion at Bath and BodyWorks. Then we went to Harry's, a local seafood restaurant, and had a delicious dinner.
Tomorrow Dad, Colby (the dog), and I are going to drive to my Nana's to meet up with my mom, sister, uncle, aunt, and cousin for Thanksgiving.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Weekend Recap.

Hello fabulous readers!
I thought I'd do a little hodge podge what my weekend was type of post.

My best friend Melissa texted me yesterday and told me about the buy one get one Starbucks holiday beverage deal from 2-5 today.  Mom and I went and cashed in on it! I got a delicious carmel brulee latte.

Colby seems to think that he's allowed on my bed at 9 in the morning to wake me up. He's not. That would be me trying to block out the light and go back to sleep in the background. Mom tried to check on me when she woke up, instead Colby decided to wake me up! He is a warm snuggle bug. Only more like a snuggle beast.

Over the weekend there was a band garage sale to raise money. Lily and I needed community service hours, so we went and helped out. We got 8 hours done! Lily wanted to do a little height comparison, to the left is my mom. Lily is an entire head taller than both of us.
 #shortyforlife

This last picture was actually taken last weekend, but I thought it was too funny not to share! Dad decided to pose with this giant, soft bear while we were at Marshalls and I was cracking up.

I ended up not going downtown with my friends on Saturday because I had been up since 5 for volunteering; I was so exhausted I couldn't imagine going out! Instead I stayed at home, watched some One Tree Hill, and then went to bed super early. I slept like a rock last night. Best night of sleep ever.

I think I'm coming down with something, my throat is really sore, I have  headache, and I'm stuffed up. This is not good because a.) I have a chemistry test on Tuesday and b.) Thanksgiving and being around all my family. I really hope I get over this as soon as possible!

Have a good week! I'm so thankful that this week will only be a two day week for me.

Monotones of Blues

 Hello fashionistas!
I put together this little outfit last weekend. Mom and I ran some errands and shopped.

Sweater: JcPenny Chambray: Vintage Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Shoes: Payless Necklace: Forever 21

I like the way the chambray top just peeks out of the bottom of the sweater and the color comes out of the sweater. To add a little bit of sweetness to this outfit I chose my heart bow locket necklace. Too coordinate with the necklace and blue tones I went with my trusty, old, silver studded flats.

I paired this with simple makeup. Brown eyeliner on the bottom, loads of mascara, and a berry lipstick.

I'm pre-writing this post, so when you all read this I'll be with my best friend Lily. Casual end of the week sleepover! Saturday is the marking of the "Nights of Lights" downtown, so we plan on walking down and getting hot cocoa with some other friends.

Have a splendid weekend!

Polka Dotted.

Hello fashionistas!
I thought I'd go ahead and share with you all what I wore to school on Tuesday.
After school I had my High Q match. Good news, the JV team won! Very exciting, now we're going to the district match. Which is an all day event which means I'll get out of school for the day.

Blazer, tank top, dress: Kohls Shoes: Payless Necklace: Forever 21 Hairclip: Target

I bought this dress at Kohls a few weeks ago and I've been dying to wear it! It has been warm again the past couple of days, so I decided to wear it. I thought it needed a blazer to go over it seen as it is November. For spring/summer I'd definitely just throw on a pair of wedges and be good to go!
I loved that the name of the dress was "Parisian Chic" ,too cute.

I woke up this morning with a pounding headache, sadly the headaches has not ceased all day! Today has been an extremely long day and I had a ton of homework to do; luckily I'm almost done with everything. I have a French and a math quiz tomorrow, so I still need to look over a few things.

I'm off to finish homework and studying!

Lots of love!

Galaxy Girl

Hello fashionistas!
I thought I'd share an outfit that I wore last week with you all.
I thought the white blazer would be the perfect contrast between the black/red/orange galaxy shirt.
I'm pretty sure this blazer is becoming my favorite piece! I'm on the hunt for a red or pink blazer.

Top: DIY Tanktop: Kohls Blazer: New York and Co. Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Tennis Bracelet: Mom's Shoes: Bealls

I made this shirt myself, it's supposed to look like a galaxy. I'm thinking about maybe setting up a website or adding a page to the blog for them and selling them.

Thoughts? Would any of you be interested in buying one?

I'm thinking of also doing other designs and using different colored shirts. I tested it out on some shirts of my own and the finished looks turned out pretty cool.

I've had a pretty chill weekend. Working out, went to the mall with my mom (surprisingly bought nothing!), and drinking a lot of hot beverages! It's FINALLY cooling down in Florida. I am so happy it isn't sweltering hot! Although tomorrow it's supposed to raise back up to 80, boo!

I'm sad my lazy weekend is almost over. I have High Q practice tomorrow, a quiz in history on Tuesday, and the final High Q match Tuesday. The next two days are going to be very busy! I'm not sure if I'll be posting again until Tuesday.

Lots of love!

Denim Squared

Hello fashionistas!

I wore this little outfit to school and the dentist yesterday.
I wanted to wear my denim, boyfriend blazer, but I wanted to wear it with jeans. I decided to contrast the darkness of the jacket with a lighter pair of jeans. A little denim on denim! To offset the denim I chose a white, flowy top. Added a little pop of pattern in with my shoes, some sparkle with my bracelet and I was ready to go!

Blazer: Target Top: Nine and Co. Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Tanktop: Kohls Shoes and Bracelet: Forever 21

For my makeup I went with a subtly smoky purple eye and I brought the darker, crease color down onto my bottom lashline. Super simple!

Tomorrow is Veterans Day and I would like to thank all the brave people who've served in the military.

Anyways, I'm off to watch some One Tree Hill on Netflix. It's become my latest addiction!

Have a great day and to those of you who don't have tomorrow off, happy almost Friday!

Stripes and Snood

Hello fashionistas!
I thought I'd show you all what I wore to school on Monday.

Top: Vintage Jacket: Jones New York/Costco Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Shoes: Payless Bracelet: Forever 21 Scarf: made by my mom

There was a bit of a chill in the air and it was misting throughout the day. I opted for my "snood"; my continuous circle scarf. I thought the black jacket and grey scarf needed a pop of color and pattern, so I went with this classic blue and white striped shirt. This is one of my favorite jackets, whenever I wear it I feel like has a motorcycle rider vibe. Maybe that's just me; my secret rebellious, motorcycle riding alter ego breaking through!

I thought I'd share my school picture with you all.
This was before my bob cut.

Yesterday at High Q practice we played boys vs girls and us girls kicked some serious booty! I was quite proud of us. Today we had a our match and we lost extremely badly. Seriously disappointing, even though the team we played was the best team in our county. Oh well.

Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment, not looking forward to that!

Have a lovely day!

Homecoming 2011

Hello fashionistas!
As promised, here is my homecoming 2011 post!
I went with my best friend Lily, Kali, Asia, and Isabella. We had a really fun time!
Here are some of pictures we took.

Dress: Jones New York Shoes: Nine and Co from JCP Earrings: Mom's

Dress: Ross Shoes: Payless Earrings: her mom's

Lily and I both went for black dresses with a pop of color in the shoes. Seen as the theme was "neon nights" I chose bright blue, suede heels.

My eye makeup. I wish I could remember what I had used, but I don't really recall what it was.

Lily's eye makeup, again sorry I don't remember what I used on her!

The ticket.

 All of us girls!

Left to right: Asia, Isabella, Kali, Lily, and yours truly!
Anyone else find it hysterical how Lily manages to STILL tower over us in flats while we all had on high heels? I'm so envious of her height.

Best friends until the end!

My mom♥

My sister and I with Lily and her sister.

After the many pictures were taken (we must have taken over a 100 pictures) we went out to dinner at a local seafood restaurant. Then we went to homecoming. Danced it up and had some good laughs. All in all it was pretty grand night!

I hope you all had a great weekend!
