I wore this to school on Tuesday.

I borrowed the dress from the mother, I love the fact that I can just borrow her stuff when I'm not feeling anything of mine! On the other hand, mom doesn't always love it.

I finally wore my new Target sandals and they were extremely comfortable! I like that they have all the comfort factors of a regular, flat sandal, but they have a little wedge!

This dress was incredibly soft, I seriously wish I had gotten one back when mom did... 

I don't know if you guys have noticed, but I always wear my blazers (especially this one) with dresses because most of the dresses are tank top strap, and at school we can't have tank top straps. So that would be the reason behind the constant blazers. And the fact that I love blazers!

School was pretty good today, took my math quiz, passed with a 90%! I just accidently left out a negative sign. We started working on our 'breadth' for my AP 3D class. It felt good to be working with clay again, I really missed it. Pottery is one of my favorite classes ever. I love it.

It's almost the weekend, so yey!

Blue Ombre

Hello fashionistas!

Happy Monday, I'm just glad that it's over! I'm seriously jealous of all you UK dwellers who had a bank holiday, I had to get up at 7:30 this morning for school. Oh, so fun. 

Here's what I wore.

This top actually isn't mine, I borrowed it from my best friend Lily. Thanks girl, I loved it so much! 

When she wore it to school last week I was like "I HAVE to borrow that, it is too cute!"

I love trading clothes with the best friend. Spice up my wardrobe! 

I teased my bangs/top layer and pulled it back with bobby pins and then took a big clip (coincidentally one I took from Lily eons ago) and put the rest up. What do you guys think?

Not much new going on at school. I was planning on coming home and taking a nap because I didn't have any homework for my first 4 periods, other than math homework that I finished in class, but when I got to english she assigned us a take home essay. Needless to say I didn't get to nap. Such a let down. I have a quiz in French tomorrow and a quiz in algebra 2 Wednesday.

I'm currently watching Bachelor Pad, but I think I'm going to watch the Lying Game (which I am DVRing right now) when this is over. Then I'm hitting the hay!

Stripes and Blazer

Hello fashionistas!

Once again I have an outfit of the day for you all. IT was POURING outside, so the pictures were taken inside my house. Sorry they aren't very good!

This was probably my favorite outfit I wore all week, it was simple but chic. I felt like a little Blair Waldorf (adore her, adore the show, adore Leighton Meester)! This outfit was literally chosen 5 minutes before I walked out the door.  

Apparently one of the new school rules are that we aren't allowed to wear headbands (SO STUPID). So at lunch I had to take it off, which took away some of the Blair Waldorf effect, such a bummer. 

I used to wear these shoes a lot last year and I hadn't worn them in quite awhile, when I wore them today they gave me mammoth blisters on my heels! So painful. 

I'm super happy that it's Friday. I barely have any homework (4 world history questions to answer), but that's it. Lots of fun stuff planned for this weekend, can't wait!

Outfit of the Day 8/24/2011

Hello fabulous fashionistas!

I've got a little outfit of the yesterday for you all.

I had been waiting to wear this blazer for a couple of weeks, so I just had to wear it yesterday! 

Melissa ended up buying the same one in black, blazer buddies! 

This week has seemed like a month crammed into 4 days. It's been quite a busy week. School has drained the life out of me, so much work. I got a 95% on my english quiz, so pretty happy about that. 

Came home and have done some homework, did majority of it at school today.  Only 176 more school days to go... 

I'm SO happy tomorrow is Friday! I'm hoping Lily and I can get together Saturday. The French Clique and I are going to Barnes and Noble/Starbucks to help one of our friends with a Fall Fashion assignment for her journalism class. I love fall fashion, it's the best.

Delicate and Girly

Hello fashionistas!

Here's what I wore for my 2nd day of sophomore year.

I really love this shirt, it is so delicate and girly. I pinned my bangs to the side because it is really hot outside and I didn't want them sticking to my face! I really want to try curling my hair, I just haven't had time to try doing it yet. I have to say, I'm really glad I cut it! Thanks for all the sweet comments on my last post.

Another long day at school! I had a good bit of homework already. I have my algebra 2 collage to finish tomorrow, a 3D artist journal project for my art class, and an oral report for pre-aice world history all due on Friday. Everything should be fairly easy. We haven't actually gone over the requirements for the report in world history, we're doing that tomorrow. The algebra 2 collage is halfway done, I just need a few pictures of my friends and I to go on it, and then I'm done. 

I'm so sleepy right now it isn't even funny! I can't wait to go to bed and crash. Only 3 more days until the weekend!

First Day of Sophomore Year Outfit

Hey fashionistas!

Today marked the first day of my sophomore year. I thought you had to see my outfit! 

Normally I obsess over what to wear for the first day, but I literally picked this out at like 6 pm last night! 

Lily came over this morning so I could do her makeup, it's sort of a tradition (that we started last year) to go to school together on the first day. Getting ready with her was the BEST part of my day.

Here's a little face picture for you all! Ha, sent this to one of the besties this morning.

My day wasn't 'bad', it just wasn't 'good'. 

I have ZERO classes with Ethan, one with Lily, and 2 with Mel. I know, I know, I'll make new friends, but sometimes I just don't want new friends! I love my friends and just want to be with them! Pathetic? Yeah.. 

I have basically no one I'm good friends with in my chemistry class, which stinks because of all the labs we'll be doing in that class. My history class seems intense, apparently on Friday there is a report. Tomorrow I have an english quiz on the summer reading (which was horrible).

 Hopefully I do well, first grade, I have to make it count!

 My english class is a college class, so is my pottery class (AP 3D). 

I have to go make a collage for my algebra 2 class about myself, so I'm off to go to do that.

Wish me some luck that things get better and my besties and I get to see each other in school!

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes, I Love Them!

Hey fashionistas!

The other day the momma and I (no I don't really call my mom 'momma') were shopping it up at Target, and we 'happened to stumble upon some shoes' (just kidding we totally went over there on our own free will)! 

They were having a big clearance on shoes, 75% off! So I picked up 3 new pairs. I have shoe problems because my feet literally rot my shoes. I kid you not, my feet are disgusting. The weird thing is it only happens with closed toed flats/pumps. Okay, so now you know my weird feet fact. 

On to the shoes!

The first pair were the ones that I bought the gel pads for, they're really high.. These could end with me whining about my feet after I wear them/while I'm wearing them. Actually it will definitely end with me whining, then my friends will pull the "why do you wear heels?" card.

Obviously, I wear them because they're so cute and because I'm so short (a mere 5'3")!

The blinged out gladiator/sandal shoes I bought because I thought they would be cute sticking out from jeans, for a  pop of sparkle! I'm definitely going to put a band-aid with a cottonball in it for padding against my heel, I know they zipper will end up giving me a blister. 

Oh, the things we do for fashion.

The final pair I got were a sensible buy. They're comfy and they have a bit of height, so I feel like these will become an everyday sort of shoe. They're really comfy!

All of the shoes I bought were $7 or less. You guys should definitely make a trip over to your Target and peruse the shoes section. And the clothes... 

School starts Monday, I'm not looking forward to that.

Hopes, Expectations, and the Reality 2011-2012

Hey fashionistas!

Starting my sophomore year in high school is making me realize that change is on the horizon! Here are my hopes, expectations, and the reality.

Hopes

- I hope to get all As and Bs this year. Hopefully only Bs in chemistry (ahhh scary) and algebra 2. And if I get a B in my college english class I won't be that upset.

-  I hope to meet some new people this year that I click with.

- I hope to join a bunch of clubs at school this year.

- I hope to be able to keep up the blog, schoolwork, and my friendships. Balancing everything can get tricky.

- I hope to run for some kind of school officer (for junior year, but you run during sophomore year).

- I hope to become president of ceramics/pottery club.


Expectations


- I expect for this year to be tough, more work, harder classes, but I'm ready for it.

- I expect trials and tribulations along the way, after all it is high school!



Reality


- I know there are days where I won't want to try to be cool.

- There will be days when I'm going to come to school in a sweatshirt and jeans (full hair and makeup of course)!

- When everyone irritates me and I want to scream "WHY ARE YOU ALL SO STUPID?"

- When I cry over dumb things or nice things.

- When I'm going to freak out because I'll think I forgot something (or I'll have actually forgotten it).

- When I stress over having multiple tests/quizzes/projects due all on the same day (or even the same week).

- Where I want to give up, but I just keep on going.

- When I'm counting down the days until Friday... When it's only Sunday night.

-  There will be times when my weekend plans consist of me staying home, laying in sweatpants and watching movies.

- When I feel like a loser because I don't know exactly what the latest gossip is.

- When I get the answer wrong and never want to open my mouth again in class.

- When my friends invite me to go places and I say I have 'plans', but in reality I just don't feel like going anywhere and seeing people I know. Much less putting any effort into getting ready!





There are so many more things, I could go on forever!

Back To School Shopping

Hey fashionistas!

I have a little back to school haul for you all. Melissa and I went on another one of our infamous Forever 21 trips, we had loads of fun (as usual)!  I didn't buy that much seen as I have done a good bit of shopping over the summer. 

Love me some stud earrings!

This headband is just like the cheetah headband I bought on the last Forever 21 trip. I love these headbands.

 I bought some heels the other day (which you'll be seeing in a separate shoe haul) and I thought these would be a good buy. 

I bought these 2 tank tops because it's never a bad idea to have extra basic layering tanks. They're perfect to go under blazers, sheer tops, or just to keep the neckline school appropriate! My school is a stickler on dress code. 

Another basic item, simple to layer with. Or for those lazy days when I just throw on jeans, flats, t-shirt, and a cardigan. 

For some reason this is showing up more blue, but the stripes are definitely green and grey! I tried this on just to see how it would look, then I really liked it. I plan to wear it with a long silver necklace. 

I'm in love with this tank top! It's super soft, it's floral, and it has a cool crochet pattern on the top! 

This top might just be my first day back top! I really love it.

This shirt looks horrible in this picture! It's all wrinkled here, but it's not supposed to be. It's a hot pink/magenta-y color. I like it a lot, plus it was on sale for $9.

Outfit of the Day

Long time no blog. I've been incredibly busy, out of the past 8 days I've only been home for 2 of them. 

I got my schedule for this year, I don't really like it. I have no classes with one of my best friends, and only 1 with Lily, and 2 with Melissa.

I've been wearing super light eye makeup this month; kitten all over my lid, Naked or Buck in the crease, Virgin to highlight my browbone, Studio Cream liner on upper lashline, Lashblast on my lashes. 

If you guys want to see it, let me know and I'll just take pictures of it next time I do it... Probably tomorrow!

Covergirl's waterproof Lashblast is AMAZING! It doesn't come off in water, it doesn't flake off, nor does it melt off! It's great. It volumizes and lengthens my lashes, it is true mascara love.

The Hard Candy blush delivers a perfectly pink, flushed cheek. It can be harsh if you apply it heavy handedly, but I've been using my studio fan brush from ELF and it works perfectly! I suck in my cheeks (make the fish face) and apply it like that. I don't do that with most blushes, but with this brush and bright blush it works. 

Carmex has been in my favorites many times before, but it really is a favorite! I wear it all the time. I never go to bed without putting some on, then I wake up with soft lips in the morning. 

Bath and BodyWorks Coconut Mango lotion smells delicious! So yummy and tropical. It was 1/2 off at my Bath and BodyWorks, so check out yours to see if they're on sale.

Ins and Outs #5

Hey fashionistas!

It's about time for another ins and outs post, so here I go!

INS

1.) I am loving wearing skinny headbands with my bangs completely back. I'm not sure if it's because it's summer and I don't want my bangs sticking to my face or what, but I love it!

2.) High ponytails. My hair is super thick, so during the summer I don't like to wear it down. I've been alternating between high ponytails and top knots. I love the braids at the top of this ponytail!

3.) Working out. I fell of the working out bandwagon for a bit, but I've been hitting the gym a lot lately. I love doing the elliptical, leg machines, and arm machines the most.

4.) Watching movies. Lately I've been on a movie kick. I watched Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days (MY FAVORITE MOVIE), and a random Lifetime movie all last week. Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon were so scary!

5.) Driving. Since I got my permit all I've done is pester my mom and dad to take me driving. Practice makes perfect. I'm going to need a heck of a lot more practice before I ever reach perfect status!

6.) Crystal Light. I've always liked this, but I've been drinking it more than normal. I don't drink soda because it gives me a stomach ache, so this gives my water a good flavor. My favorites are the peach iced tea and raspberry iced tea.

OUTS

1.) My skin has been betraying me lately. I've tried using my different on the spots, exfoliators, cleansers and nothing is working. I think it's partly because it's summer and just more natural oil on my face, but it still is annoying. Hopefully it gets better before school starts. *For the record it isn't super bad. Just not my normal*

2.) Sleeping in. School is a mere 3 weeks away and I need to stop sleeping in until 11, or else school will be a rude awakening! 

3.) Staying up late is also out! It just goes along with the sleeping in.

I'm currently watching the Bachelorette season finale, I'm pulling for JP. Are you watching? If so, who are your rooting for? 

I promise that I will do a room makeover post this week, it was a mess this week because my sister is a slob. I'm cleaning it completely tomorrow, so I'll definitely do it this week! I'm also going to do a favorites post for July.
