Fashionistas I can't even believe that I've done 3 posts today!

Craziness.

Here's what I wore (no I did not go trick-or-treating). I walked around with my sister and passed out candy at my house. Since Sierra has a temporary cast on right now we didn't go trick-or-treating.

All credit for the mask goes to my mom. I just picked out the things at Michaels that I wanted on it! My mom is so crafty.

Sierra was going to be a cowgirl but, since she broke her arm she wasn't. Instead she wore the hat.

In case you were wondering my shirt is from JCP and the jacket is from Cotco. I had on a black skirt (the dockers one seen here).

Well I'm off to bed, tomorrow is going to be here soon.

October Favorites

Dearest fashionistas,

Instead of being RIDICULOUSLY late on my favorites like normal I decided to just get it done!

So here it is.

The color that I'm loving from this palette is the second one in the second row. It's a nice light brown

color. I've been using it in either my midtone or my crease, depending on how dark I want to go.

I'm loving using Rimmel's Lash Maxx with Maybelline's Falsies over it. My new favorite combo!

Short and Sweet- Sunday

Morning (or afternoon) fashionistas,

I really love how Zoella does her 'Someday Summary' of the days, would it be a total knock-off if I do Short and Sweet summaries of my days?

I'm not a huge fan of Halloween (hence the lack of Halloween related posts).

It's scary and in my opinion a bit strange.

Who thought up of this crazy idea of going around to random people's houses asking for candy?

When you think of it like that, doesn't it seems odd?

Maybe it's just me.

I've had an uneventful, lazy Sunday. I woke up ate some breakfast, and now I'm watching a movie with my sister and my mom. My best friend and her family just stopped on by to drop off a 'care package' for my sister. Her family is so sweet. Also my mom's best friend's mother in law (wheeewww what a mouthful) dropped off a pumpkin pie. I do love pumpkin!

Some delicious fru-fru coffee I made this morning. (:

I'm thinking of doing my favorites for this month later today. I tried to do swatches of my ELF order, but it just wasn't working. So I'm just going to do a separate post of what I bought, minus the swatches.

Al-righty I'm going to go and takes some pictures for my favorites posts. Be on the lookout for that either today or tomorrow.

Update and More

Hello fashionistas!

I'm not sure if anyone likes (or reads) these little updates of mine but, I do them anyways.

There is more to my life then makeup and fashion (well...). Just kidding! (:

To start off I got my report card yesterday and I got all A's and 2 B's. Stupid government and pottery (don't ask, I'm not sure what I even did wrong, apparently a lot of people got B's and C's too).

I also got back part 2 of a government project and I got a 94% on that, so I'm quite please (part 1 was a 88% in case you were wondering).

Then later that night my sister was playing football with the boys next door and broke her arm. Her upper arm so she will now be in a cast for.... 6 to 8 weeks! I feel so bad for her, and it's on the arm that she writes with.

I finally received my package from E.L.F. today (about time). It took 12 days!

I'll be doing a little haul of that tomorrow, it's too dark to swatch right now.

SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVEN'T!

Can anyone else believe that Gretchen won? I really thought that Mondo had it in the bag. I liked his collection more, it was crazy and out there. I loved it. Although I did like some pieces of Gretchen's, I just wished there had been some color in there. I think a teal or turquoise would have really made her pieces POP!

For the Jackie O challenge Mondo had designed this and it was my (well one of them) favorite thing he made on the show. Not including his ah-mazing collection.

I know this is also random but, do any of you watch Gossip Girl?

I'm obsessed. Love it, can't get enough of it.

The cast is great, the fashion is great, the drama and plotting is great.

I'm so happy that Blair and Chuck finally called off the war between them.

I know what Chuck did was unforgivable but, I still like Chuck and Blair together!

Well I am going to go paint my nails and watch Private Practice.

A Little Haul

Hey fashionistas, today I don't have an OOTD as I was feeling a bit blah today and just settled for a very neutral outfit.

Instead I have my little haul! And what I won in the lovely Ellie's Friday Freebie a few weeks ago.

This or That Tag

Here's a little tag for you all(:

MAKEUP:

blush or bronzer: Bronzer to contour, you can always pinch your cheeks to look rosey or use lipstick and just blend really well.

lip gloss or lipstick: I'm a gloss girl all the way!
eye liner or mascara: Mascara, need I explain!
foundation or concealer: I actually don't use foundation, I use concealer and just dot it along my jaw and blend it with some of my Oil of Olay Beauty Fluid moisturizer.
neutral or color eye shadow: Neutral, it really brings out the blue in my eyes.
pressed or loose eye shadows: Pressed, pigments are nice but messy.
brushes or sponges: Brushes.

NAILS:
OPI or china glaze: I guess OPI, I just hate that they're so expensive so I only own 4.
Long or short: Short is what I have because my nails break really easily. I'd like them to be medium length.
Acrylic or natural: I had acrylic and they really messed up my nails, I have small dents up by the top of both my thumb nails. I do use press-ons.
Brights or darks : I like darks overall but, I do love pinks!
Flower or no flower : No flower.

BODY:
perfume or body splash: I have more body sprays but, I like perfumes more (they're just so darn expensive!)
lotion or body butter : Lotion.
body wash or soap: Body wash. I love Bath and Body Works' washes.
lush or other bath company: I've never had Lush so I guess Bath and Body Works it is!

FASHION:
jeans or sweat pants: Jeans for out of the house but when I home I LIVE in my VS PINK sweats! I have some on now.
long sleeve of short: Short
dresses or skirts: Dresses
stripes or plaid : I guess plaid, but I don't really wear either that much.
flip flops or sandals : Sandals just look nicer. Although I do love flip-flops.
scarves or hats: Both!
studs or dangly earrings : Studs, I went through a dangly phase but I like studs way more.
necklaces or bracelets : Both.
heels or flats : Uhhh, both again! Actually I like wedges more than heels.
cowboy boots or riding boots: Neither.
jacket or hoodie : Depends on what I wearing with it. Just a tee shirt then a hoodie but, if I want to dress up my outfit then a jacket.

curly or straight:I have naturally straight hair, so I guess curly. We always want what we don't have!

Today was BCA day at my school so I wore a bright pink scarf! Yesterday was purple but, I didn't get a good picture because I was rushing out the door.

Also today I had a biology quiz and we switched papers so it go graded today, and I got a 95%. I was super pleased! I also took a pottery exam and it was really easy so I'm expecting a good grade on that as well. Today marks the start of a 4 day weekend for me!(:

Tomorrow I have an appointment to get a haircut because I'm having some major split ends, this would be because I haven't had a haircut since I think April! Craziness.

Blog Problems!

Hello fashionistas(:

For the past couple of weeks I haven't been able to click on anything on my blog, nothing! I've had my dad re-load the router and that didn't work. I called my bestie Lily to see if she could click on my posts and such and she could but, for some reason I can't! So I haven't been able to comment back and forth to you guys (I'm sorry!). I just wanted to thank all of your for your sweet comments and for following me. THANK YOU!

What a Lovely Sunday

As I'm sitting in the office doing my makeup (best lighting) and getting ready to go to the grocery store and run some errands my mom randomly comes in and asks if instead of grocery shopping if I would want to go to a movie. So, of course I said yes! Then she called her best friend and she came with us. We saw Life as We Know It and it was really good, kind of sad at some parts. Then we wandered around downtown and we went to this really good cafe and we split this huge waffle thing with fruit, homemade whipped cream and chocolate sauce, ice cream and walnuts! It was a ton of food, and quite possibly the best thing I've ever eaten! If we hadn't split it three ways I would have never been able to eat it!

Mmmm!

I Need Your Suggestions on What to Buy From ELF!

I Didn't Like It

Hello lovelies, I'm back with a quick post on something I didn't like. Now normally I'm not one to not like products but I really just wasn't gelling with this product.

Product: L'oreal Go Clean Deep 360 Cleanser in 'Deep Cream Cleanser'

A couple of weeks ago I was in the market for a soft cleanser and I was in the mood to try something new, I had read some good reviews about this so I wanted to give it a whirl.

I absolutely love the packaging (so cute!) and the scrublet and at first I thought I loved the cleanser. After using it for about a week or so I began to get a couple of white heads (gross I know) and I don't usually get those so, I decided to lay off the cleanser for a couple of days and they all went away (it was only like 2 or so) so I kind of forgot about the face wash. That is until a week ago... I had had a lot of mascara on so I didn't want to have to really try to get it off in the shower (normally I use Ponds cold cream before but I forgot to) so I grabbed this and used a teensy bit and the next morning I woke up with another zit. A couple days later it was a white head (eww) so the only thing I can think is that the cleanser caused them. I typically have dryer skin and like any other person it gets a bit oily throughout the day nothing abnormal. I usually use Biore' Pore Unclogging Scrub daily, St. Ives Apricot Blackhead Blemish scrub 2-3 or so times a week, I use Ponds cold cream to remove makeup and for moisturizer I use Oil of Olay Active Hydrating moisturizer.

Overall I probably won't be using this cleanser again, my sister seems to like it so she can have it. I do love the scrublet and I have been using that with my Biore face wash.

Revlon Naturally Chic Review

Hello fashionistas, here's a quick review for you.

Product:

Revlon Naturally Chic press on nails in medium length.

Application was easy, I used nail clippers to trim them down and the little file it came with to even it all out.

I really like this glue that it comes with, I feel like it lasts longer than most.

The nails themselves felt sturdy. They didn't feel like they were going to fly off.

The wear time on these was about 6 and a half days. It would have been longer but because I take pottery that really gets under them and kind of lifts them a bit.

I had a few fall off during the time I had them on but nothing too major.

The first picture is the best, the second one is not very good, I messed up a couple of fingers!

Overall ratings:

Nails: 9/10

Glue: 10/10

Application: 9/10

Wear time: 9/10

I think I might like these the most out of all the press ons I've ever had. Maybe more than my acrylics.

I believe these retail around $5-7 at drugstores.

Would I repurchase?

Yes I would, I quite enjoyed these. I've worn them twice now.

Every time I wore these people complimented me on my nails, people were really surprised that they were only press ons!

Also you can easily paint over these, I typically paint over these with darker colors because then I only need two coats to cover the white tips.

Spirit Week!

I'm back from my long pause in the blogging world!

Yesterday marked the start of Spirit Week at my high school.

Monday was PJ day.

Today was Decade day (we had the 60's), I didn't do this one.

Wednesday is Neon Color day (lame, we're neon orange). I won't be doing this one either!

Thursday is Dress Like Your Favorite Celebrity (any suggestions???)

Friday is School Pride.

Here is what I wore for PJ day. It was SO much fun, not to mention ridiculously comfy!

I forced Lily to wear our matching PJs that we had bought for our school trip last year. At the time

we had an obsession with owls (Woodsy Owl from the 70's PSAs in case you were wondering).

The PJs are from Target.

My tank top is from Kohls.

Lily wore a white tank top from New York and Company (she says that "It's really comfortable."

I wore black flip flops from Kohls .

Lily wore black flip flops from Payless.

Any suggestions for the Celebrity day for me? It'd be greatly appreciated!

Oh and do you guys think that it's too late for a September favorites?

I am a Horrible Blogger

Sorry fashionistas, life has yet again gotten in the way of blogging!

I have a HUGE biology test Tuesday and my best friend Lily and

I spent over 3 hours studying!

And I still have loads to go.

Orly 'Close Your Eyes'

Sorry for slacking on the blog front... I've been busy, on Saturday my mom and I did a 5k for Breast Cancer and on Sunday we walked 10k (my mom is training for a 1/2 marathon and I just tagged along). It was such a nice day on Sunday, cool and crisp but, not cool enough for a jacket. Saturday was all rainy after the 5k but, Sunday totally made up for it!





Before I go jump in the shower and pop on some press-ons I'm going to do a quick nail post.

Application: 5/5
Chipping: 4/5
Opaqueness: 5/5

I did two coats over my Revlon white tip nails. I'll do a review tomorrow or sometime this week.






I absolutely adore this color, my new fall favorite. A purpley/red with some shimmer. Adore it, you must buy it!
