Dollar General Haul

Hey girlies there happens to be a Dollar General right next to the gym my mom and I go to so we occasionally pop in there so this is what I picked up.

LA Colors 12 palette in "Traditional" - does anyone want swatches? They are quite pigmented for how inexpensive they are.
LA Colors nail polish in "Red Stilettos"- I have this on now (I just did my nails) so I will take pictures tomorrow and do a post on it.

E.L.F. Total Face Brush I actually was in the market for something to blend my bronzer with and I am really glad I bought this.

So now to tell you girls about my latest project. Yes the time has finally come to do a Project 10 Pan, and I'm sure most of you are familiar with this but, if you aren't it means I am going to finish up 10 products before I buy any more makeup. Yes you read that right. Oh how this shall be fun, wait no it won't be! It needs to be done, I have so many things that I just don't use often enough.

Outfit of the Day and Makeup of the Day

Hey girlies sorry I slacked yesterday, I had a final draft on an essay for english, a french quiz, and a math quiz today so I was busy studying and such yesterday.

This is what I wore today. Sorry I don't know why but I can't ever keep my hand steady!



Shirt: My mom's
Skirt: Belk
Shoes: Aerosole from Kohls

On my toes I have on Sally Hansen Dahlia, love this color.



These are the earrings, they are black rose studs, sorry for the crummy image quality.



Note this is taken at like 9 pm because the one I took before school was a lot better.

On my face I have my usual CG concealer, Physicians Formula powder, Rimmel bronzer in Sunny, NYC creme blush in Plaza Pink, Hard Candy blush in Living Doll.



Up-close eye this WAS taken in the morning.

VS creme shadow as primer, Maybelline Seashell eyeshadow all over the lid, a pale shimmery purple from my Stila road to radiance as my mid-tone and a VS Beauty Rush shadow in some plum shade that I can't recall the name. Stila Smudge Pot on upper lid and Maybelline Falsies on my upper and lower lashes.

Monday Questions and First Day Recap

Hello girlies, now normally I would've slept in today and enjoyed a lazy breakfast of cereal and I'd have watched Keeping Up With the Kardashians that I DVRed last night but no this was not to be.. Instead I woke up at 7:15 and went to work on my my hair and makeup and going through the motions of getting ready. I easily found my homeroom but the halls were PACKED like no joke, high school halls are so crammed and people just stop in the middle of the halls and hug and laugh. Don't you just love that? Not! Then I went to French which was actually pretty decent (I was only in there for 10 minutes, because normal days there isn't any homeroom). Up next was U.S. Government, which we have a project to do tonight and present- yes you read that right, a 30 second to a minute poster/slideshow. Great right, so after this post I will be doing that. Which luckily I have this class with my best friend Lily, so yeyy! Then I went to Biology which I didn't really like because she made us stand up and say our names and something about ourselves, all I could think was "I'm Savannah and I'm a freshmen", so embarrassing! Then I got to see Lily again in fourth which was English, I like the teacher and it seems like it will be a good class. Next, I went to Geometry where literally I was the ONLY freshmen, all of them were sophomores. I knew no one! The teacher seems nice though. Finally, I went to Pottery/Ceramics 1 which I couldn't find to save my life, and asked multiple teachers turns out I had been saying the wrong number for the room... I am an idiot! That wasn't bad though and the teacher was nice.

Overall not too bad, getting to my classes is just so difficult because of the packed hallways.

Man the lighting in my bathroom makes me look so washed out! I'm not going to list the products because I can't really remember what I used this morning, sorry!

Forever 21 and Kohls Back to School Haul

Hello lovelies! You guys must think all I do is shop (at least that's what my mom says you must think!) but, really that isn't true.. Seriously! I actually have a couple of things from other stores that I picked up, and I ordered like 4 more things off of Kohls.com because my sister (and mom) wanted some stuff that wasn't available in stores. Whenever that arrives I'll show you.

First store up Forever 21! One just opened in the big outdoors mall (which I think is a STUPID concept, walking from store to store you are like dripping with sweat in the summer and freezing in the winter) so it was a madhouse! I didn't buy any clothing from here because the dressing room line was like 15 deep, and I like to try on before I buy (unless it's offline obviously). So instead I bought a ton of accessories.

I love this bracelet, my mom and I agree that it is super unique. It is braided and has like gold chain running through it. ♥

This was actually on clearance and I fell in love with it, then I realized it was maternity. By then though I didn't even care, it is kinda sheer so I would pair with a grey tank underneath, even though you wouldn't be able to see it. This was $7.00




I casually posed Java while he was sunning himself on my bed. This is Revlon's 'Cherries in the Snow'. I really like it, I have it on my toes and nails. I will do a nail of the day post tomorrow or something. It was $3.50


I just wanted to let you guys know that with school starting up again tomorrow I probably won't have time to post nearly as much.. So I hope you guys don't mind short and to the point posts!

What I Plan to Wear for the First Day of School

Wheewww long title! What have you lovely followers been up to? I didn't do much today other then go with my sister and mom to pick up my sister's schedule and then Target. I did decide tonight what I will be wearing to my first day of high school (exciting yes, scary yes!). Sorry for these crappy pictures.







I actually have this gray short (super soft)shrug ( a slouchy one, that is a bit longer then this) I would've pictured this but it wasn't dry.

New Glasses and Update

Hey girlies here a a few pictures of my new glasses, which I L♥VE!









In case you couldn't read the side of my glasses they are Prada. And the nail polish I have on right now is Minted by Revlon (I love that stuff!).

A little side note, I finished Enders Game (the book I had to read for school) but now I have to get around to doing timeline with 20 or more things that made Ender who he was. I can't believe that school starts up on Monday, luckily the project isn't due until the next Monday... Which means I can keep putting it off, but really I should start it tomorrow. Maybe I will flip through the first few chapters and write down some important things.

Did anyone else pick up the latest Glamour with Jennifer Lopez on the cover? I did and it is HUGE, the cover says it is their biggest issue in 20 years! That happens to be my favorite magazine, and kinda inspired the name for my blog.

My Favorite Nailene Nails Product

Hey girlies, thanks for all of the get well wishes and I can hardly believe I'm at 61 followers!

I just thought I would do a quick post telling you guys what my favorite Nailene Nails product is. My favorite product would have to be the Nailene Nails in 'So Natural'. I love these nails because one, they actually look natural. Two they don't break when you do simple everyday things like button your pants or text (my KISS nails actually did pop off when I did these things, even on the first day I put them on). You can leave the white tips longer or file them down, I tend to file mine down but that's just me. I have incredibly small hands and fingers so I had to shape each nail but, it was a very easy process and didn't take long at all to custom fit each nail. I also like that you can paint over them and you don't see the white tips with two coats of a darker color, lighter colors take 3-4 coats. Not bad because you don't have to use a base coat.
Overall I like the look, the feel, and the little amount of time it takes for me to put them on.

These are just a couple of pictures of me wearing the So Natural nails. I also wanted to tell you that I was sent these, but these just happen to be my favorite out of the ones I was sent to review.

A Little Update

Hey girlies as I added in a post yesterday (well technically since it is now midnight two days ago) I got contacts for the first time. The first day I was allowed to wear them for four hours, Tuesday six hours, Wednesday eight hours and so on. On Friday I have a check up appointment to see how my eyes are adjusting to them. Also to pick out a new pair of frames. So before I went to this school orientation thing I put on some more of the Nailene Nails in So Natural, I didn't really think about how I would take my contacts out with them! So I was panicking up until 9:30 (when I had to take them out) luckily one fell out (with a little solution) and the other I was able to slide off of the middle of my eye and pick up with the nails. Putting on the nails might not have been the best idea, but I just love them so much! They last about a week but, they may have lasted longer if I hadn't gone swimming two days in a row. Oh well, I just popped on some more.

Teen Choice Awards, What They Wore.

Hey girlies I was just on my favorite website (Posh24) to see what all the celebrities are up to and I thought I would share a few looks that I like from the TCA.



Shailene Woodley and Daren Kagasoff, they are on the show Secret Life of the American Teenager. I really like her dress, the sleeves add a bit of glamour to the dress, so it is more special then just a LBD. Her hair and makeup were simple and spot on too! Daren on the other hand, well.. I like the shirt and jacket but, I'm not too sure if I like the boots casually over the pants.


Victoria Justice from that show Victorious on Nickelodeon. I love this dress, so girly, and such a pretty color. Her hair is so pretty like that and her makeup looks soft and glowing. Plus that nail color she has on is a perfect contrast to the blue of her dress.


Lucy Hale from Pretty Little Liars (she plays Aria). I love the dress from the waist down. I just don't get the odd placement of the sequins (is it just me??). Also I feel like those bracelets could've been swapped for simple silver bangles or something else. Her hair on the other hand looks so voluminous and I really like the color. The smokey eye she has going on works perfectly with the hair and clothing. I just wish the sequins would have been all over the top of the dress or just gone completely.


So maybe tomorrow/tonight I will post more pictures and put in my two cents!

Crazy HTML!

Hey girlies! I thought I would let you know just in case you happened to see my blog earlier tonight and were wondering what happened to it! I was messing around with my background and trying to make the header longer and what I got was a huge, hot mess! Somehow i had like one fourth of the background in this salmon pink (I tried to revert back to previous settings and... well it didn't work!) and the other three fourths of it was the background I wanted. Oh the HTML/CSS just went crazy, I still don't understand what I did to make it happen! So if you came across my blog earlier, well know you know why it was so crazy looking! Luckily my dad knows a lot about computers (he works with computers) so he was able to magically fix it! Gotta love good ole' dad! ♥

Nails of the Day

Hey girlies! I just thought I would do a quick post and then I'm off to do some laundry and then my nails (as I just took off what you're about to see). Oh and I really need to keep reading Ender's Game so that will be done right while I'm all snuggled up in my comfy bed!






I still have on my Nailene nails in So Natural (which I love!).
I did a base coat.
I did 2 coats of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Dahlia. One coat would've been fine if I hadn't had the So Natural nails on because you could see the white tips.
I used LA Colors nail art polish stuff (not too sure on how to describe these!) in black to make a line and silver glitter to go over it.
After all of that I used a top coat.

I had it on for 4 1/2 days (I took it off tonight, I just wanted a new color). I'm not sure what I will do next, but I did buy a Pure Ice polish a couple weeks ago in this grey/silver color. Maybe I'll use that.
